Air India Express launches UAE-India ‘payday sale’
Dubai: One-way ‘lite' fares on routes between the UAE and India are available from Dh323, India's Air India Express airline said as it kicked off its monthly 'PayDay Sale' covering domestic and international flights.
The sale, which does not fall under its regular fare sale guidelines, is currently being offered for bookings until March 1 and is valid for travel from March 3 to Oct. 8, the airline said.
In the UAE market, the cheapest advertised Lite (zero check in baggage) fare is Dh323 for Sharjah–Surat. The value fare on the same route starts at Dh355. But the fares are limited and space-available.
The following lowest Lite fares have been published on other Gulf routes:
• Oman (Muscat–Mumbai): OMR22. 8
Bahrain (Bahrain–Kozhikode): BHD47
• Qatar (Doha–Kochi): QAR468
• Kuwait (Kuwait–Bengaluru): KWD28
• Saudi Arabia (Dammam–Delhi): SAR286
The sale fares are available for both domestic and international travel throughout the airline’s network.
Bookings are available on the airline’s website, mobile app and major booking channels.
Zero convenience fee offer
Air India Express said it is providing customers with zero convenience fees on bookings made via net banking on its website and mobile app. Even if travellers book Flex fares through these platforms, they can get zero convenience fees.
The Flex fare includes free date changes up to three days before departure, a 20kg baggage allowance on domestic flights and 35kg on international flights plus a prime seat and lite bite.
Loyalty benefits and discounts
Loyalty members will find offers on the airline’s website, such as 25 per cent off Business Class fares. The Rocketman was open for other services which included extra legroom, complimentary ‘Gourmair’ hot meals, extra check-in baggage allowance and ‘Xpress Ahead’ priority services.
Tata NeuPass rewards programme members can avail an extra discount. According to the airline, over 40 such Boeing 737-8 aircrafts, inducted as part of the expansion of Tata Group-owned airline, are equipped with Business Class seats.
Today, Air India Express flies more than 500 daily flights to 45 domestic and 17 international cities in South Asia, Southeast Asia and the Gulf. It operates a fleet of over 100 Boeing 737 and Airbus A320 planes.
