Dubai Introduces AI Seal to Certify Trusted AI Companies

Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence (DCAI) introduced "Dubai AI Seal" to ensure the credibility of reputed AI (AI) companies and to help turn Dubai into a world AI leader.
It has been introduced at the order of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defence, Chairman of Board of Trustees of Dubai Future Foundation and in accordance with "Dubai Universal Blueprint for AI".
By awarding trusted firms, "Dubai AI Seal" offers a roadmap to secure good cooperation between the government and technology companies. This first-of-its-kind initiative will provide a list of established companies for government and business to trust for trusted and safe AI services. Each of the companies certify have "Dubai AI Seal", with serial number and category.
Any firm who is looking to be chosen as the supplier in the UAE and Dubai government projects needs to be AI Seal certified. Reputable and credible companies will be able to display the seal on their websites and in advertising efforts.
All the tech companies based in Dubai which sell or support AI-related products or services can apply for it, without any cost. Applications will be judged in six categories: what the companies do and offer, number of AI-specialised employees, current and future projects, public-private partnerships.
His Excellency Khalfan Belhoul, CEO of Dubai Future Foundation, which manages DCAI, said: "This is an attempt to build powerful alliances between public and private entities at a local, regional and global level. It will enable new economic possibilities by using AI for the betterment of the economy, society and the future we wish to create."
"Dubai AI Seal" campaign has the following goals: Easy and reliable verification for AI providers; opening business opportunities for AI companies in Dubai; Identifying AI Companies strategic value for the Dubai economy.
The project underscores the economic value of AI industry, how it can drive new jobs and create more cohesive coalitions between governments and technology firms.
DCAI empowers government agencies with advanced technologies, announced by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum at AREA2071 at Emirates Towers. The center also works to create AI applications regulations, recruit international AI companies, incentivise national talent, and improve the lives of the people of Dubai with AI.
