Dubai Weather: Heavy Sandstorm sweeps through the city
Sand in my hair, Sand in my feet. There’s also sand in my teeth, I’m not at the beach. Rhyming is hard, it’s actually a sandstorm #Dubai said a resident as Dubai witnessed heavy sandstorm yesterday.
Many UAE residents witnessed a massive sandstorm on Thursday morning bringing the visibility to almost zero. The strong sandstorm dwarfed buildings and trees as it swept through the city with high-speed winds. Local authorities and the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) had already issued warnings of dust storms, thundershowers and high-speed winds in several parts of Dubai and elsewhere in UAE. The NCM has also said, light showers in some parts of UAE is expected.

Dubai Police advised motorists to be extra cautious as dust and wind on roads have resulted in poor visibility. The UAE government has advised citizens to stay indoors and keep a watch on local weather updates and warnings.
