UAE to launch new low-cost airline with Europe's Wizz Air
Operations expected to start in the second half of 2020.
The Abu Dhabi Developmental Holding Company on Thursday announced a preliminary agreement with Wizz Air Holdings, Central and Eastern Europe's largest low-cost airline, to launch a low cost-airline in Abu Dhabi.
The airline will be formed via a joint venture with Wizz Air, with operations expected to launch in the second half of 2020.
With its green fleet of Airbus A321neo aircraft, the world's most efficient narrow body aircraft, the new airline will gain access to markets across Europe and beyond.
