Dubai's Jumeira Beach temporarily closed to public

Dubai's Jumeira beach has been temporarily closed to the public due to inclement weather conditions, Khaleej Timeshas learned.

An onsite official from the Emergency and Rescue Management Department from Dubai Municipality confirmed that the beaches were closed at 12pm Saturday afternoon and will remain closed until tonight (Saturday, June 16).

A rip current is a strong, localised, and narrow current of water which moves directly away from the shore. It can present a hazard to swimmers who might get caught in the unsuspecting tide.
